Recipes for Dogs
To Heighten a Healthy Diet or give some enjoyment to your Dog’s eating...
A healthy dog diet is extremely important, and since dogs can’t tell you when they like the food, research into the correct food for your breed is significant. The website http://home.att.net/~wdcusick/free.html is very useful for finding the specific dietary requirements for the dog breed which you own and I highly recommend it.
Here are some example Dog recipes..
for you to try out on your dog. These doggie dinners can make up the 1/3 soft matter of your dogs meal. The other two thirds of the meal should be made up of meaty bones, (chicken carcasses, chicken wings or necks).
Dog Recipe #1: Potatoes La Canine
3 cups - Boiled sliced potatoes
2 TB - Grated vegetables
1/2 cup - Creamed cottage cheese
1 tb - Nutritional Yeast
2 tb - Grated carrots
1/4 cup - Whole milk
1/4 cup - Grated cheese
Layer in a casserole dish the first 5 ingredients.
Then pour the milk on top of all; sprinkle with cheese.
Bake about 15 minutes at 175 degrees or until cheese melts and
slightly browns.
Serve cool.
Notes: As a potato substitute, you can use 3 cups of cooked oatmeal
or 3 cups cooked brown rice.
Dog Recipe #2: Meat Casserole
500gms of any meat
1 carrot finely chopped
1 small potato finely chopped
1 stick celery finely chopped
1/2 cup sliced green beans (stringless)
1 tbsn Gravox
Place all ingredients into a large casserole dish.
Cover with water and mix.
Place lid on casserole. Microwave on High for 10 minutes and then
Medium for 10 minutes.
This should be cooked at least an hour before feeding so that it is
well cooled.
